Dr. Seuss, Inventions, Pennies,Ipad apps,
and Pi!!!!

Kindergarten started today and it was so great to see the kids so excited to come to class. Our first unit  comes from the lessons Postcards from Dr. Seuss, which uses thinking skills to challenge high ability learners and also allows for differentiation.  Content, process, and product are emphasized throughout to create an authentic experience.

First Graders:
Students were to design an invention that would allow Sybil the Detective to get to the other side of the pond. They wrote a story as to why she needed to get to the other side and what she did when she got there. Below are pictures of the students designs and clever, well written stories.
