We started the day by solving logic problems then we talked about systems and how they work. After that we watched a video called Who Speaks for Wolf? We built a fake fire and used a flashlight as our fire, as we discussed the video and part of the book. We guessed the rule about math and we made a
book called Welcome to Dictionopilis . We worked on centers and it was a challenging day!

G.T is so amazing! We started off our fabulous day with learning about the Mona Lisa and playing some games related  to Mona Lisa like Trivia and Match the Parodies. When we were finished we  formed a paper that is the exact size of the Mona Lisa. We  went  into a hallway and made   the exact size frame out of yard sticks. People stood on the corners to make the perimeter so we could all see what the size of Mona Lisa looks like in comparison to her actual bullet-proof frame! We leaned a lot about perspective and draw lines to show we understood the lesson. We ended the day by using the ipads to make pictures of clever perspectives.

In the last 2 weeks we started off with Perplexers and Quotation Quizzlers. Last week we talked about the Gettysburg Address and Kaitlyn Z. memorized the WHOLE Gettysburg Address in a week! (And earned a Blue Raspberry Nerd Slush!!) To prove how we trust people and things, we actually  walked on RAW eggs!! So, you can "walk on eggshells around people and survive!
Today we read 2 chapters of The Giver and wrote poems for Veterans Day ( they will be judged.) We got a new class pet turtle (Raphael) and went outside and observed him. We watched for patterns in his behavior.  We let him out of his box and wanted to see where he would go, we recorded our results.  Lizzie did an experiment with Ivory soap. Then we topped it all off by reading our poems to the class. We read the famous inaugural speech from F.D.R. and we had a class  discussion about  "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself".
