In GT last week we started the day by learning Binary.
Binary is how most computers are coded, this method is made up of 0's and
1's,
instead of the base 10 we use every day. Mrs. Horan put it this way, 0 is
off
and 1 is on. So for the sake of simplicity let’s do 1, 2, and 4, but since
Mrs.
Horan said it's greatest to least it would be 4, 2, and 1. So let's say you
want 3, so 0, 1, 1, and if you want 6 it would be 1, 1, 0. When we finished
that
we did Cat in the Hat Binary, in other words 1 was red and 0 was black. When we
fished the Binary we discussed what we are planning to do for our Brain
Project. Then we read several chapters of Tuck Everlasting since they're
very
short. When we realized we still had a lot of time left we decided to do
some
of the Welcome to Dictionopolis. When we had done that we got our things to
go
back to our classrooms, pack up and leave." By Marianna
