The 5th grade students were given a task to design a peace sign so that the whole school would  be able to fit into a picture. It was quite a difficult task, but of course, they did it! With a lot of discussion, math computation, and physically setting up the design they went out to our open field and staked out the project. Sadly, after all that work it rained! Needless to say, they were bummed, but hey, a great math lesson was taught and the kids collaborated so well, it was worth every second they took seeing it through to the end. 

You will always be a kid at heart! With the remaining sticks the kids made a circle and sang, "Ring Around the Rosey".
