FIRST GRADERS
FLIP FOUR-  Flip 4 perfectly combines math and strategy, as you can see by the children's concentration on their faces.

Wow, our first graders learned the basic steps in algebra for solving for X.

SECOND GRADERS
The beginning of learning algebra. X =? Students are finding the value of X by eliminating those digits which can not be X. Emphasis is on the utilization of mathematics vocabulary to determine which of the ten digits is the number X.

In our group book, Punished, we learned the meaning of an anagram. Students had fun trying to think of ones on their own. Kate loved that her name was one! Kate=take

Students are using K'Nex pieces to construct different types of bridges and reading the history and design behind each one.

FIFTH GRADE

Toni submerged a container filled with crickets into ice. Immediately they became dormant. Students predicted the time as to when the crickets would start moving again.

Kaitlyn and Alexis are dissecting a pepper seed to find out what was inside and what would happen if we left it out. We found out it shrivels up and gets smaller.
